Structural Mechanics

Using state-of-the-art software, we calculate deformations and mechanical loads, e.g. of systems, components, connecters.

The external forces and loads combinations, the bearing setup as well as temperature influences and contacts are taken into account.

As a result, questions are answered such as:

  • What is the deviation of the component?
  • Is the material strength sufficient, do permanent deformations occur?
  • Is the structure safe? At what load does the structure become unstable?

For this purpose we investigate static events (behaviour under extreme loads) or the reaction of a component under variable loads during operation as well as interactions of plant components (dynamic behaviour) according to the task to be solved.

We perform calculations for very different materials – from aluminum to steel, from brittle to rubber, from wood to high-tech carbon fibre – and use respectivly different numerical models.
